openSUSE 11 Install issue
« on: September 03, 2008, 08:43:27 pm »
This past weekend I made numerous attempts to install openSUSE 11 on a software RAID 1 partitions. I used the expert partitioner, and it went through the installation as expected. Now here is where the gotcha came in. When I went to reboot the system the hardware can't find the OS. Didn't seem to matter if I used the on board controllers, or off board PCI plugin's.

My next step, (when time permits) will be to take a step back, and try this with 10.3 which worked on a previous install on different hardware.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried version 11, and had any issues similar to what I've experienced so far?

I apologize for the delay in responding, I updated the forum recently and my RSS subscription must have went foobar.

All the same I have not tried openSUSE 11 yet.
